MyPlace sits in the same corner of the market as CaptiFi: a WiFi login page that collects guest details, then puts them to work for marketing and reviews. That makes us a direct competitor, so this review sticks to what MyPlace publishes on its own website, read on 28 October 2026, with every page linked at the bottom.

What MyPlace is

MyPlace's about page says it was founded by Peadar Gormley in 2017 in Dublin, Ireland, and "in 2023 rebranded as MyPlace". It puts its reach at 1,000+ locations in 20+ countries. The footer reads "© 2026 MyPlace Media Limited", and the homepage's guest WiFi section says "GDPR and CCPA compliant, consent collected at login".

The product covers three jobs: the guest WiFi sign-in, WiFi marketing (collecting first-party guest data and syncing it to your marketing tools) and review generation. On email, its WiFi marketing page is clear about where it sits: "WiFi Marketing does not replace your email service provider." The same page says you can "Use API and webhooks to power advanced integrations", and phone numbers can be collected as well as names and emails.

MyPlace plans and prices

MyPlace publishes its prices with a currency switch for US dollars, euros and pounds, and "All MyPlace plans ... are billed per location." Here's the pricing page on 28 October 2026:

PlanPrice per location a monthNew emails a monthTrial
Essentials$49, £39 or €4910014 days free, no credit card
Growth$79, £69 or €7920014 days free, no credit card
Avancé$159, £139 or €149300Schedule a call

The page's FAQ calls the top plan Reputation, so you may see both names. Essentials includes MyPlace's review starter package. MyPlace also says "No contracts, no setup fees".

Email allowances and bundles

Each plan includes "a monthly allowance of new guest emails per location". Past that, you choose between two settings: "Flex Pricing, where extra emails are billed at a small additional rate", or "a Fixed Limit, where WiFi continues as normal but new guest data is stored safely and not available for export until you upgrade or add a bundle." You can also buy bundles, and "Each bundle is shared across all venues":

BundleUS dollarsPoundsEuros
250 emails$30£25€30
500 emails$50£45€50
1,000 emails$90£80€90
5,000 emails$400£350€375
10,000 emails$700£550€650

A busy venue should run its own numbers against the allowance before picking a plan, since the monthly figure depends on which of those routes it takes.

Review generation

MyPlace's review page says Google is the primary platform and Tripadvisor is also supported, and "AI suggests replies based on each review." On how guests are routed, the review page says "Every email includes a "Contact us directly" option alongside the review link", and the homepage FAQ says unhappy guests are routed to a private feedback form so you can address concerns "before they become public."

Integrations and hardware

MyPlace's integrations pages list GoHighLevel, Shopify, Square, Dotdigital, Commerce7, Leat, Cinch, Salesforce, Zapier, HubSpot, OneSignal, Klaviyo, Facebook Custom Audience, Airship, ActiveCampaign and Mailchimp. Integrations are tiered. Its plan cards and tier lists put Tier 1 integrations such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp and Zapier on Growth, and Tier 2 such as HubSpot, Dotdigital, ActiveCampaign and Hive on Advanced. Otherwise, its pricing FAQ says, they're "available as optional add-ons that can be added to any plan", and "Tier 1 integrations are $20 per month, and Tier 2 integrations are $30 per month."

On hardware, MyPlace's devices page lists Ubiquiti UniFi, Cisco Meraki, Cambium, Ruckus, Omada, Aruba, Zyxel and Datto. Its documentation also has a MikroTik guest portal guide. For venues without one of those brands, "MyPlace can supply a pre-configured device that plugs straight into your existing broadband"; the page doesn't give a price.

Pros and cons

Every point here is from MyPlace's own pages. How it weighs up depends on your venue.

In its favour

  • Prices are published per location, in dollars, pounds and euros: $49, $79 and $159 a month, or £39, £69 and £139.
  • A 14-day trial with no credit card on Essentials and Growth.
  • Review generation for Google and Tripadvisor, with AI-suggested replies and the review starter package on Essentials.
  • Eight access point brands, and a pre-configured device for venues without one.
  • Email bundles are shared across all your venues.
  • A partner programme with recurring revenue share, and an affiliate programme where you can "earn up to 30% recurring commissions".

Things to weigh

  • New-email allowances of 100, 200 and 300 a month per location, with bundles or Flex Pricing beyond that.
  • Integrations outside your plan are add-ons, which the FAQ prices at $20 or $30 a month depending on the tier.
  • MyPlace's model is to sync guests to your marketing tools, and it says "WiFi Marketing does not replace your email service provider."
  • The pre-configured device has no published price.
  • Advanced has no self-serve trial; the button is "Schedule a Call".
  • There's no annual billing option on the page.

Who MyPlace suits

MyPlace fits a hospitality venue or small group that already uses an email tool such as Klaviyo or Mailchimp and wants WiFi sign-ins and Google review requests feeding it. Check how many new guests you see in a month against the allowances, and check which integration tier your tools sit in, before you pick a plan.

Où CaptiFi diffère

CaptiFi works on a similar idea, and the differences are practical. Allowances are counted in new guests a month by plan (500 new guests a month on Lite, 1,000 on Essentials, 5,000 on Growth and 15,000 on Pro), and email campaigns go out from CaptiFi itself (1,000 emails a month on Essentials, 2,000 on Growth and 5,000 on Pro). Review requests start on Essentials, and happy guests go on to Google, Tripadvisor, Yelp, Facebook, Trustpilot and more. Review platforms connect from Essentials, and the marketing and till integrations, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo and Square POS among them, come with Growth along with an API and webhooks.

On hardware, CaptiFi has setup guides for 9 vendor ecosystems, and the CaptiFi device is included on every plan against a refundable deposit of $99. Plan prices are published in six currencies (GBP, USD, EUR, CAD, AUD and NZD) on the pricing page (Enterprise is custom), with Essentials at $69/mo, and every plan starts with a 30-day trial; you add a card to start. For partners, CaptiFi publishes its wholesale rates, and its white-label option carries a minimum monthly commitment agreed when you upgrade. The CaptiFi vs MyPlace comparison and the MyPlace alternatives page go through it row by row.

What is MyPlace Connect?
MyPlace, formerly MyPlace Connect, is a guest WiFi platform founded by Peadar Gormley in 2017 in Dublin, Ireland, and rebranded as MyPlace in 2023. It covers the WiFi sign-in, WiFi marketing that syncs guest data to your marketing tools, and review generation. How much does MyPlace cost?
MyPlace publishes three plans, billed per location, with a currency switch: Essentials at $49, £39 or €49 a month with 100 new emails, Growth at $79, £69 or €79 with 200, and Advanced at $159, £139 or €149 with 300. Its FAQ calls the top plan Reputation. Email bundles shared across all venues run from 250 for $30 (£25) to 10,000 for $700 (£550). Tier 1 integrations come with Growth and Tier 2 with Advanced; otherwise its FAQ prices them as add-ons at $20 and $30 a month.
What happens when a MyPlace venue passes its email allowance?

You can also buy email bundles, which are shared across all your venues.
Does MyPlace require special WiFi hardware?
Not if your access points are on its list: Ubiquiti UniFi, Cisco Meraki, Cambium, Ruckus, Omada, Aruba, Zyxel and Datto. For other venues, MyPlace says it can supply a pre-configured device that plugs straight into your existing broadband, and its page does not give a price.

Both run on existing access points and publish their prices. MyPlace counts new emails per location, from 100 to 300 a month; CaptiFi counts new guests, from 1,000 a month on Essentials to 15,000 on Pro, and sends email campaigns itself. On CaptiFi, review requests and email marketing start on the Essentials plan. CaptiFi publishes its plan prices in six currencies, with Enterprise custom, and the CaptiFi device is included on every plan against a refundable deposit.
