If you let property through Airbnb, you'll know the usual position: one booker's details, and nothing for the other people who stayed. StayFi is built around that gap. This review is written from StayFi's own website, read on 28 October 2026. CaptiFi sells guest WiFi too, so we've kept to what StayFi publishes and linked every page at the bottom.

What StayFi is and who it is for

StayFi puts a branded WiFi login page in each property and, in its own words, "captures the information from every guest, not just the booker." Those contacts feed email and text marketing aimed at repeat and direct bookings. The company was founded in 2018, Arthur Colker is its CEO, its address is 175 Varick St, New York, and it says "More than 80,000 short-term rentals in 70+ countries around the globe use StayFi".

Short-term rentals are the main market, but there's a hotels page as well, which says StayFi is "Designed for Hotels of All Sizes".

StayFi pricing

StayFi's pricing page describes "Flexible, pay as you go pricing designed for short-term rentals" and says you can take control of your guest WiFi and marketing "starting at just $19/month." It includes "Free email marketing up to 200 contacts", and the demo buttons are split by how many listings you have.

The bill is worked out from what you use. StayFi's subscription pricing page bills by the "# of billable WiFi devices" and the "Number of Email Contacts", and notes that "At properties using UniFi, each Access Point is a billable device."

Texts run on credits, priced from $0.0425 a credit at 100 to 499 credits down to $0.0175 at 100,000 or more. A text to the US or Canada uses 1 credit, to the UK, Australia and six other listed countries 2, and to everywhere else 3.

There's a "Get Started" sign-up on the homepage. StayFi's pages don't mention a free trial, and its terms say "You can cancel your account at any time", with billing continuing "through the end of the month".

Matériel

StayFi works in three ways. If the property already runs Ubiquiti UniFi or Ruckus, its pages for those users say you can add a branded captive portal to the existing network with "No New Hardware Needed". Otherwise it "requires either a StayFi Express device with a compatible WiFi system or our pre-programmed hardware", and StayFi Express works with Amazon eero, TP-Link Deco, TP-Link Omada or Aruba.

Email, texts, reviews and integrations

  • Email: "Automated email campaigns with customizable triggers" and "100s of custom templates".
  • Texts: automated welcome messages, and review requests that "screen for 5-star reviews and push guests to review on Google, Facebook, Trip Advisor, and your own website."
  • Property management systems: Apaleo, Cloudbeds, Guesty, Hospitable, Hostaway, Mews and OwnerRez.
  • Email and CRM tools: ActiveCampaign, Constant Contact, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Revinate, Salesforce and Zapier.
  • Upsells after login: The Host Co. and Viator.

Pros and cons

These come from StayFi's own pages. How each one lands depends on your properties.

In its favour

  • It captures every guest who connects, including people who didn't make the booking.
  • A published starting price of $19 a month, with free email marketing up to 200 contacts.
  • No new hardware on an existing UniFi or Ruckus network.
  • A long list of rental PMS integrations, plus hotel tools such as Mews, Cloudbeds and Revinate.
  • Self sign-up from the homepage, and you can cancel any time.

Things to weigh

  • The bill grows with billable WiFi devices and email contacts, and on UniFi every access point counts as a device.
  • Off UniFi and Ruckus, budget for the $99 StayFi Express or Aginet kit from $139 to $284.
  • Texts are bought as credits, and UK numbers use 2 credits a message.
  • Its pages don't mention a free trial.
  • Prices are in US dollars.

Où CaptiFi diffère

CaptiFi is a guest WiFi platform for venues of most kinds, holiday lets included, so it suits an owner whose portfolio mixes rentals with a cafe, pub or small hotel. Prices are per plan and published in six currencies on the pricing page (Enterprise is custom), with Essentials at $69/mo, and each plan has a monthly allowance of new guests (500 new guests a month on Lite, 1,000 on Essentials, 5,000 on Growth and 15,000 on Pro). Email campaigns and review requests start on Essentials, review requests send happy guests on to Google, Tripadvisor, Yelp, Facebook, Trustpilot and more, and CaptiFi sends 250 free texts a month from Growth, then paid texts billed monthly up to a limit you set.

It runs on the access points you have, with setup guides for 9 vendor ecosystems, and the CaptiFi device is included on every plan against a refundable deposit of $99. Every plan starts with a 30-day trial, and you add a card to start. See CaptiFi vs StayFi, the StayFi alternatives page, or our best WiFi marketing for Airbnb guide.
