People still search for Yelp WiFi, so here's what Yelp's own pages say about it today. We read them on 28 October 2026. CaptiFi sells guest WiFi marketing, so we've kept to Yelp's words and linked every page at the bottom.

¿Qué es Yelp WiFi?

On 4 April 2017 Yelp's investor relations site announced "Yelp Acquires Wi-Fi Marketing Company Turnstyle Analytics". The release says Turnstyle, "Based in Toronto, Canada", was founded in 2012 "as a location-based marketing and analytics platform that provides Wi-Fi as a digital marketing tool to retain and reward customers", and that Yelp bought it for "approximately $20 million, paid in cash".

You'll sometimes see Yelp WiFi linked to Wavespot. Wavespot is a separate company: its site carries "Copyright 2021, Wavespot Inc." and mentions Yelp only as a review source, and Yelp's announcement names Turnstyle.

Is Yelp WiFi still sold?

Yelp's product pages don't show it any more. The old Yelp WiFi product page redirects to a page on business.yelp.com that returns a 404 error. Yelp's restaurant products address now leads to its restaurants page, which offers Yelp Host with add-ons such as Guest Experience Survey, Yelp Ads and the Upgrade Package, and doesn't mention WiFi. A Yelp WiFi link does survive in the footer of Yelp's investor relations site.

That doesn't tell you what's running at venues that signed up before. If you have Yelp WiFi in place, or a sales contact has offered it, ask Yelp directly what's still supported.

What to check before you choose

Whichever guest WiFi platform you look at, these questions are worth putting to the company, and most publish the answers:

  • Is the price on the website, and is it per venue, per access point or per plan?
  • Is there a free trial, and do you need a card to start it?
  • Does it run on the access points you already have, or does it send a device?
  • Which review sites can its review requests send guests to? Yelp, Google and Tripadvisor aren't always all on the list.
  • Where do email campaigns go out from: the platform itself, or a tool you connect?

Where CaptiFi fits

If Yelp reviews matter to you, CaptiFi's review requests go out after the visit, starting on Essentials, and can send happy guests on to Yelp alongside Google, Tripadvisor, Facebook and Trustpilot. Email campaigns go out from CaptiFi itself on the same plan. Review platforms connect from Essentials, and integrations such as Square POS and Mailchimp come with Growth.

CaptiFi runs on the access points you have, with setup guides for 9 vendor ecosystems, and the CaptiFi device is included on every plan against a refundable deposit of $99. Plan prices are published in six currencies on the pricing page (Enterprise is custom), with Essentials at $69/mo, and it's sold to venues worldwide. Every plan starts with a 30-day trial, and you add a card to start.
