Revinate + CaptiFi

Send consented WiFi guests into your Revinate guest profiles, property by property, within minutes of sign-in. Built for hotels. Growth plan and above.

Overview

What does the Revinate integration do?

The Revinate integration sends the contact details of guests who sign in to your WiFi into your hotel's Revinate list, creating a new contact or updating the one that matches their email address, within minutes of sign-in. Only guests who accepted marketing are sent by default, and each property uses its own Revinate token. It is built for hotels, B&Bs and resorts that already use Revinate. Growth plan and above.

The Revinate integration is for hotels, B&Bs and resorts that already run their guest marketing in Revinate. Revinate's guest profiles usually start from reservations, so the people who use the restaurant, bar or spa without booking a room are missing from them. Guest WiFi reaches those people, and this integration passes them on.

When a guest signs in to your WiFi, CaptiFi sends their contact details to the Revinate list your access token belongs to. Revinate creates a new contact or updates the existing one, matched on email address, and the guest becomes reachable for the pre-arrival campaigns, post-stay emails and loyalty workflows you run in Revinate. Exports run within minutes of the sign-in, and failed calls are retried automatically on timeouts and rate limits.

Data flows one way, from CaptiFi to Revinate. By default only guests who accepted marketing on your splash page are sent, which keeps the export in line with the consent they gave, and guests without an email address are never sent. A group with several hotels gives each venue its own token, so each property's guests land in that property's Revinate list.

What you get

Why connect Revinate to CaptiFi

Non-resident guests reach Revinate

Restaurant, bar and spa guests who never appear in your PMS sign in to the WiFi, and their details land in your Revinate list ready for your campaigns.

Consent travels with the export

Export opted-in guests only is on by default, so only guests who accepted marketing on your splash page are sent to Revinate.

Returning guests update one profile

Revinate matches on email address, so a guest who comes back updates their existing contact instead of creating a duplicate.

One token per property

Each CaptiFi venue holds its own Revinate token, so reporting in Revinate stays property by property for a group.

What data flows to Revinate

Email address (required, and the field Revinate matches on)

Phone number, if collected as a splash page question
Date of birth, if collected

Gender, if collected
How it works

Up and running in minutes

1

Get an access token from Revinate

Ask your Revinate account manager for API access and an access token for the list guests should join. Ask for one token per property.

2

Paste the token on my.captifi.io

Open Integrations, click Configure on the Revinate card and paste the token for each venue. It is write-only: once saved, only a masked preview is shown.

3

Choose who is exported, then test

Leave Export opted-in guests only switched on unless your legal basis covers every guest, save, and click Test connection to catch an expired or revoked token.

4

Switch the venue on

Flip the venue to Enabled. Sign in to the WiFi as a test guest, accept marketing, and search Revinate for that email a few minutes later.

In the real world

How venues use Revinate with CaptiFi

Hotel

A city hotel's restaurant takes plenty of walk-in diners who never stay. Their WiFi sign-ins now reach the hotel's Revinate list, so the restaurant's regulars receive the same seasonal campaigns as the hotel's past guests.

Hotel

A spa hotel exports day-spa visitors who opted in on the splash page, and the marketing team targets them in Revinate with an overnight package they would not otherwise have heard about.

Hotel

A group of four hotels gives each property its own Revinate token, so a guest who uses the WiFi at two of them is updated in each property's list and reporting stays per hotel.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Does the Revinate integration pull reviews into CaptiFi?
No. Data flows one way, from CaptiFi to Revinate: guests who sign in to your WiFi are sent to your Revinate list as contacts. For review requests after a visit, CaptiFi's own review automation on the Growth plan and above asks consenting guests to rate their visit, and the Google Reviews integration covers Google.
Which guest details are sent to Revinate?
The email address, which is required and is what Revinate matches on, plus the first and last name, phone number, date of birth, postcode and gender when your splash page collects them. Nothing else leaves CaptiFi, and guests without an email address are never exported.
Are guests who did not opt in sent to Revinate?
Not by default. Export opted-in guests only is switched on when you connect, so only guests who accepted marketing are sent. You can switch it off, but only do so if your legal basis covers every guest, because the export is used for marketing.
How does it work for a group with several hotels?
Each CaptiFi venue holds its own Revinate token, so you paste each property's token on that venue and enable each one separately. Guests land in their property's Revinate list, and a guest who visits two properties is updated in both lists.
What do I need before I start?
A Revinate account with API access enabled, an access token for the list guests should join (issued by your Revinate account manager), a CaptiFi plan that includes integrations, which is Growth or above, and a splash page that collects at least an email address.
What happens if I disconnect?
Future exports stop straight away. Contacts already in Revinate stay there, because they are now part of your Revinate list.
