Reviews integration

TripAdvisor Reviews + CaptiFi

Prompt happy WiFi guests to review you on TripAdvisor, on its own or alongside Google, with no API key needed. Hardware included, 30-day trial.

Overview

What does the TripAdvisor Reviews integration do?

The TripAdvisor Reviews integration points your automated review requests at TripAdvisor, on its own or alongside Google. Paste your venue's public TripAdvisor listing URL, choose where happy guests should land, and the same review request email and SMS your guests already receive start routing them to TripAdvisor when their rating meets your threshold. No TripAdvisor account connection and no API key are needed.

You choose the destination per venue: TripAdvisor only, or a branded choice page that offers Google and TripAdvisor side by side so the guest picks. Lower ratings open the private feedback form first, with the public review links kept visible throughout, so every guest stays free to post publicly whatever their rating.

TripAdvisor reviews also flow into the Review Inbox alongside Google, where CaptiFi drafts a suggested owner reply for each with AI and deep-links you to the TripAdvisor Management Center to post it. For hotels, guesthouses and restaurants whose bookings live on TripAdvisor, review recency there translates directly into visibility and bookings.

What you get

Why connect TripAdvisor Reviews to CaptiFi

TripAdvisor prompts with zero setup friction

One pasted listing URL is the whole connection. There is no TripAdvisor login, no API key and no approval process; guests are simply routed to your public listing to write their review.

Let the guest choose

The branded choice page offers Google and TripAdvisor side by side, so you grow both profiles at once without splitting your review requests into separate campaigns.

Same flow your guests already know

The review request email and SMS do not change. The smart link routes each guest at the moment they rate their experience, so switching platforms never needs a template edit.

TripAdvisor replies drafted by AI

TripAdvisor reviews appear in the Review Inbox with AI-drafted replies ready to copy, and a deep link to the TripAdvisor Management Center to post them.

How it works

Up and running in minutes

1

Paste your TripAdvisor listing URL

Open the TripAdvisor Reviews card on the Integrations page and paste your venue page URL from tripadvisor.com. It contains a "-d" segment such as -d1234567- and you can copy it straight from your browser.

2

Choose where happy guests land

Pick TripAdvisor only, or let the guest choose between Google and TripAdvisor on a branded choice page. Google only remains the default if you change your mind later.

3

Reply from the Review Inbox

New TripAdvisor reviews sync into the Review Inbox daily. Generate an AI reply draft, copy it, and post it via the Management Center deep link, then mark the review replied.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a TripAdvisor API key or account connection?
No. Review prompts only need your public listing URL; guests are routed to your TripAdvisor page to write their review exactly as if they had found it themselves. The Review Inbox sync runs on CaptiFi's platform-level access, so there is nothing for you to create or maintain.
Does the review request email or SMS change?
No. Your guests receive the same branded request they always have. The smart link inside it routes each guest to the right destination at the moment they rate their experience, based on your per-venue setting.
Can I use TripAdvisor and Google at the same time?
Yes. Choose "let the guest choose" and guests whose rating meets your threshold see a branded page with a Review us on Google button and a Review us on Tripadvisor button side by side.
How do replies work?
TripAdvisor does not allow third-party tools to post owner replies, so the Review Inbox gets you to one click away: the AI draft is ready to copy and the deep link opens the TripAdvisor Management Center where you paste and post it from your own account.
Is this compliant with review platform rules?
Yes. Every consented guest gets the same invitation and a free choice to post publicly, with no incentives and no gating. Lower ratings open a private feedback form that keeps the public review links visible, which stays in line with both Google and TripAdvisor content policies.
